Enabling Safe Mobility for All

Innoviz’s Short-Range LiDAR joins the InnovizTwo product platform that includes InnovizTwo Long-Range and InnovizTwo Slim. With high-resolution detection and over 90-degree vertical field of view, the new short-range design is based on InnovizTwo Long-Range architecture. It leverages the product’s industrialization maturity and is designed to meet the requirements for light commercial vehicles, shuttles, robotaxis, and trucks.

Configurable Regions of Interest

InnovizTwo Short-Range has an individually-controlled region of interest for dynamic focus in a limited FOV.

Multiple Reflections

InnovizTwo Short-Range returns multiple reflections per pixel and records and stores multiple points in a 3D environment. This is important when laser pulses hit rain droplets, snowflakes, or more than one object on their path.

No Gaps Between Pixels

InnovizTwo Short-Range has no gaps in the scanning pattern within the Region of Interest due to contiguous pixels, which are critical to building a safe autonomous vehicle perception system. Without this, a system might not detect humans or collision-relevant small objects lying on the road’s surface if they are within point cloud data gaps.

Equally Distributed vFOV

InnovizTwo Short-Range enables flexible control of the vertical resolution throughout the vertical FOV. It can support both uniform resolution or variable resolution (for example, high resolution within the ROI and lower resolution outside of the ROI). The InnovizTwo vertical FOV also includes panning capabilities that support varying mounting tolerances and driving conditions, such as vehicle loading.

Resilient to Sunlight and Weather Conditions

InnovizTwo Short-Range is resilient to ambient light sources, such as direct sunlight and blinding lights from oncoming cars, as well as poor weather conditions
