About the Position
We are looking for an Automation Engineer (AE) to develop Innoviz automated assembly lines for mass production.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of automated assembly lines including Electronics, Optics, and Mechanical parts
- Selection and management of global sub-contractors
- Ability to manage large scale budget
- Writing the system and machines specification and requirements
- Manage all activities from Proof of Concept through Design Reviews and Acceptance tests
- Work with a cross functional team to identify all requirements for assembly, traceability, and testability throughout the production
Requirements
- Education: BSc. Degree in relevant fields – Optics, Physics, Mechanics and Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as Automation Engineer in an opto-mechanic related products
- Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes, including gluing, dispensing, screwing, pick and place, active alignment soldering and sealing.
- Experience in the automotive industry
- Hands on experience with motion drivers, engines, robotics, conveyers, AOI and traceability tools
- Experience with PLC. Robotics programing and communication protocols
- Clean room work experience – an advantage
- Experience with multidisciplinary products NPI
- Experience in working with vendors and CM’s
- Good analytical skills, self-starter with drive, focus, and initiative
- Language skills: Good English, both written and verbal
- Software: Lab View/Python, analytic tools (as JMP, Minitab), Mechanical design tools as Solid works or equivalent
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A real team player able to efficiently work with multi disciplines across the organization (Production, SC, R&D, QA etc)
