VLSI Design Engineer

About The Position

The VLSI Group in Innoviz is developing ASICs and FPGAs, using the latest VLSI and FPGA technologies, which are literally in the heart of Innoviz Lidar Systems. Working in the VLSI group of a multidisciplinary company, the FGPA and VLSI Engineer will interface various other RnD groups such as HW, Algorithms, System, Optics and MEMS.

The role includes working on exciting and advanced SoCs for image processing and computer vision applications, across all phases of chip design: microarchitecture, RTL coding, verification and debug, support backend, timing, area, and power optimization, design for debugging, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Micro-architecture based on system architecture/production requirements
  • RTL coding (System Verilog)
  • Logic synthesis
  • Static timing analysis
  • Design for debugging
  • Reply and fix feedbacks from the verification cycle 
  • Reply and fix feedbacks from the back-end team on the physical implementation
  • Sign-off


Requirements

  • B.Sc. or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in IC design in System Verilog
  • Outstanding technical expertise in the successful completion of multiple VLSI implementation projects
  • Experienced in authoring microarchitecture documents for complex SoCs blocks
  • Experience with synthesis, STA and constraints using Synopsys tools
  • Strong communication skills and team player
  • Experience in DSP applications is an advantage
  • Experience with prototyping using Xilinx SOC devices (Zync) is an advantage
  • Experience in low power design techniques is an advantage
  • Experience in script languages (Perl / Tcl / Python) is an advantage
  • Experience with systems using embedded ARM or DSP processors is an advantage
  • Experience in verification methodology (UVM) is an advantage
