InnovizTwo Short- to Mid-Range
For Light Commercial Vehicles, Shuttles, Robotaxis and Trucks
InnovizTwo Short- to Mid-Range is Innoviz’s high-performance, automotive-grade LiDAR sensor based on InnovizTwo Long-Range architecture.
The InnovizTwo SMR LiDAR was selected by the Volkswagen ADMT subsidiary for use in its ID. Buzz AD shuttle. The vehicle includes six short- to mid-range LiDARs in addition to three long-range LiDARs.
Enabling Safe Mobility for All
Innoviz’s Short- to Mid-Range LiDAR joins the InnovizTwo product platform that includes InnovizTwo Long-Range and InnovizTwo Slim. With high-resolution detection and over 90-degree vertical field of view, the new short- to mid-range design is based on InnovizTwo Long-Range architecture. It leverages the product’s industrialization maturity and is designed to meet the requirements for light commercial vehicles, shuttles, robotaxis, and trucks.

High Vertical Field of View
The InnovizTwo SMR features a tall 70° vertical Field of View, making it ideal for trucks, shuttles, and robotaxis that need precise short-range detection from high mounting positions.
Uniform Field of View
InnovizTwo SMR supports all specifications throughout the entire 110°x70° (HxV) Field of View.
Multiple Reflections
InnovizTwo Short- to Mid-Range returns multiple reflections per pixel and records and stores multiple points in a 3D environment. This is important when laser pulses hit rain droplets, snowflakes, or more than one object on their path. It can even distinguish second reflections detected beyond fences.
Optimized for Short-Range Detection
InnovizTwo SRM features detection at full specifications from 0.2 meters to 100 meters. It excels in use cases such as blind spot detection, object or obstacle detection, low-speed maneuvering, and parking assistance.
Resilient to Sunlight and Weather Conditions
The LiDAR also features outstanding detection of window blockage, regardless of raindrops, snow, ice, mud, bugs or debris on the LiDAR window. This ensures that all objects and obstacles in the FOV are properly detected and identified. It can even distinguish second reflections detected beyond fences.
